Manatee Pool Mosaics

Manatees are large aquatic creatures that are mostly herbivorous. Also known as sea cows, due to their size and gentle nature, they can be found in North America, South America and Africa. They can often be found along the coastline traveling in groups with both the adult manatee and calf.

These mammals are a protected species in the wild. To protect them, authorities have made it illegal to touch them. The goal is to help them remain shy of areas where they can be hit by speed boats and other threats by humans. They can be found as far west as Texas and as far north as Massachusetts during the summer months.

A Wide Selection of Manatee Mosaics

Blue Water Pool Mosaics offers a couple of manatee mosaics designs, available in a selection of colors and sizes. You can be sure to get one to harmonize with your design aesthetic.

Hiring a contractor or team of contractors to install your mosaic is the smart choice for most people, but if you are the type of person to take on tasks like this yourself, here are some tips to help you avoid any serious mistakes:

  • Follow other instructions listed by the manufacturer
  • Use a latex-based modified thin-set that helps to keep the mosaic adhered to the surface of the pool or any other wall
  • Angled installation is available as mosaics are attached to mesh
